Boston Harbor (inner harbor)

Just revisiting old photos again. This was from our trip 2 months ago. This was taking right after we finished with the New England Aquarium, which by the way is one of the best aquariums. HDR shot, but I didn’t go too crazy this time, at least I toned it down a bit.
Living Movie Posters

I want to try something like this… of course, maybe not with a Red camera which will set me back my life savings, but the concept is cool.
Weekend Trip coming to an end
Posted June 7, 2009
Well, it’s been a fun time around the Sunnyvale area. We basically stayed in this area. Tomorrow we will head back. Let’s see… what did we do today? First it was the Hakone Gardens. Ate lunch at a little place called the Blue Rock Shoot. After that, the Mountain Winery where we had an amazing view of area. After that, some really good Chinese food, watched Slumdog Millionaire on DVD (a very good movie). Here are some pictures from the day and yes, a lot of them are HDR photos. Went a little overboard on the tone mapping but oh well.
DSLR Camera Remote for the iPhone / iPod Touch
Posted June 2, 2009
I rarely buy apps for my iPod Touch but when an app comes out that is just simply too cool, I have to get it. It will be of use in the future as well. This app is DSLR Camera Remote by onOne Software. With my camera attached to my laptop and my iPod Touch on the same WiFi network (or connected directly via an Adhoc connection), I can control my camera from my iPod Touch. It’s just simply a cool app. It even supports live view (if the camera supports it). The picture here is one I took using this app and my Canon 40D. As of this post, the software only support Canon DSLR’s but I’m sure Nikon will soon follow.

Love this photo. I typically don’t jack people’s photos off their website, but if it’s a great photo, then it’s a great photo.

Kind of a big lens

Canon 1200mm f/5.6L Lens. Only $120,000. Hmm… nothing more to say about that.
Last full day in Boston

We slept in this morning as usual but started our day with a visit to Legal Sea Foods. Surprisingly, my wife said that she liked it better than Boston Chowda Company. I personally think that Legal’s chowder is a close second to Boston Chowda, but it’s a matter of taste and they are all good. After lunch, we walked across the street to the New England Aquarium. We didn’t really see anything new but it was still enjoyable. After that, we hopped on the green line to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. A very interesting place. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to take pictures of that place. Man, if I was able to and I had a tripod, I would really get some “money” shots there. Tomorrow we leave for Columbus, OH for the weekend and then back home. The weather turned out to be awesome today.
Maine, USA
Posted May 4, 2009
Another visit to Maine. Did we go to any new places from last time? Nope. It was just as fun the last time we went. This time we had Sha and Jessica C (formerly Jessica K) with us. We first made the long drive to Freeport where we did some shopping at the outlets. Of course, not too much shopping on my end. It was all about the girls time to shop. I did get a tie. After that, we headed towards Portland Head Light. Last time it was raining a bit and very overcast. I was hoping for better weather this time. No rain but very overcast as usual. Better pics? I went HDR again. After that, we went to the Lobster Shack at Two Lights. The girls got lobster and I got a lot of shrimp. We headed home after that. We didn’t do much but it was fun. Pictures are below.
the Lobsters are Back!

We have returned back to Rockport! Today we had a good time hanging with Jesse and Rebecca. Of course, when we heard they were thinking about driving up Rockport, we were more than happy to tag along with them. How was it the second time around? Even better. Despite the rain, it was still awesome, being with friends, eating fresh lobster. Remember, when you go, go to Roy Moor Lobster company. The people there are very friendly and the food is great.
Laguna Beach
Posted March 30, 2009
This past weekend a bunch of us got together for a little (well… maybe not so little) meal. Afterwards, we got some yogurt and decided to head to the ocean. Here’s a shot of Laguna Beach write before sunset. I didn’t take a trip with me so it may not be the clearest picture. Funny, we never actually stepped on the beach but just looked from on high.
