Portland: Day 2

Another great day in Portland.  Ben took me out to see the city.  Of course, first order of business was to get a beanie at REI.  After a small pizza lunch we drove around looking at different parts of the city.  We saw a lot of bridges of course and I got a few good pictures today.  We spent a little time at Powell’s Books, the largest independent used and new bookstore in the world.

The evening ended with a Portland Blazers game against the mighty Washington Wizards.  For the most part, it was a pretty ugly game.  The half-time score was 39-31, but eventually the game settled down.  The Blazers prevailed 100-87, who definitely had help from the Wizards’ 24 turnovers.  After the game, we had a nice walk home while it snowed a bit.  Last day tomorrow and then a red-eye flight to Boston.
